And it’s done. Finally the re-proofing is done.

This was actually done a couple of weeks ago and I have put the new book into the sales site.

My book is now officially available for sale at Amazon How to Build Effective Wire Antennas is available for sale through that link.

How cool is this though?  This is on the second page of results when you search books for the key words wire antennas.

What this really means is that there are over 400 books on Amazon on the subject of wire antennas that don’t sell because I haven’t made a sale yet.  That’s encouraging isn’t it.  Actually that isn’t a problem as this whole exercise is a proof of concept rather than a money making exercise.

What I will do now is generate traffic to this page by blogging about it, writing a few articles and other things which can drive some visitors to the Amazon page for my book.

There is no point in just waiting around for people to find and buy my book.  It makes sense to me to do what I can to drive some, hopefully enthusiastic, buyers to my book.

The other thing I need to do is fill in my author profile in Amazon because that’s one of the things readers and/or potential buyers often do to gain more confidence in their purchase.

Well there it is.  It took me a bit longer than the challenge because I didn’t manage to get my book published by February.  It took longer because I failed to print my book and really proof read it before submitting it.  I also had some issues with getting the set up right.  This is mainly related to the fact that OpenOffice is set up with Australian size pages and the publisher, CreateSpace, uses American sized pages.

I’m not making excuses here just stating facts and throwing the challenge back to you.  Can you beat the time it took me to get my first book published?  I think you can, I certainly can and will.

Your turn.  How to Build Effective Wire Antennas
