Happy New Year.

At the beginning of a new year it is appropriate to take a moment to reflect of the old year and think about what you would like from the coming year.
Of course we really don’t need the change in date to prompt us to make changes but there is some sense of satisfaction or ‘rightness’ about doing it at this time.
For me the new year is all about developing Bearly Books into a prime resource for readers and authors. For that I will need lots of help from all of you.
Why should you help me? Simply because this site has been built for you. Ultimately it will be built by you as well so you need to give me feedback throught the year so I can deliver what you want and need.
As you can see there are some books in the calatlog already and there are many more to come. I have it on very good authority that this is going to happen. Join in the fun and begin uploading your books.
I am aware that there are some PLR books here and that more will probably follow. I don’t have a problem with that provided they are not already represented here. If you wish to use a PLR book and one already exists here then you will have to do some re-writing and redesign of covers etc. to make your version unique to you.
I’m quite happy to delete any duplicates and the logs will show which one was first so please don’t.
To those who are looking for a link to your own site from here there are plenty of places you can do that all over the site but you will have to become a member first. If the comments you put up are rubbish and blatant link spam I will leave them but break them or make them no-follow.
I understand the importance of links to your business but, instead of just trying to leach off my and others work, why don’t you publish a report or small book here and put some legitimate links in those reports? You can sell them or give them away, your choice, and you are still able to gain advantage from the traffic here.
The advertising on this site helps pay for the management and other costs associated with running a site like this, I am not permitted to ask you to click the links but I don’t mind if you do. The Kindle has finally become useful as it can now read the PDF books you will be able to buy and/or download from the Catalog. I have had a look at the Sony reader and that looks even more useful but there seems to still be some serious issues with it.
This time next year I am hoping that this site will have 20,000-50,000 visitors per month and 1,000 authors with their books in the catalog. Join me in this journey and lets see how close we can get to that target.
In the mean time, have a Happy, productive and profitable New Year. May you and yours remain safe and healthy throughout the next 12 months. May your writing progress in leaps and bounds and the readers visiting here love your work.
Have a Great 2010…
