Things are moving along rapidly here at Bearly Books but you probably haven’t seen too much of it yet.
There are a bunch of new products being developed to help you with the marketing side of self-publishing. As you will be aware this is the area which I believe will be the growth are in book publishing in the next few years as more and more mainstream publishers close their doors to new manuscripts.
To that end I can see a time when there will be a huge demand for direct and accurate information about how to sell your books on the internet. Yes I said sell. If you don’t want to sell any copies of your book why are you trying to get it published?
In any case even if you do manage to get your book published by the mainstream publishers you will still need to do a significant amount of marketing yourself. It can make a massive difference to your off-line sales if you do really good on-line marketing.
That means that the training and information I am putting together for you can and should be used by all of your not just those self publishers who want to publish on the internet. Some I am creating, some is being created for me and some I have bought the rights so I can give you access to it.
Don’t be misled, you will need to market. You might as well get good at it. Hey, most of this is easy and doesn’t require much money or skills you can’t learn.
Most of it requires the ability to write, you can do that can’t you? Of course you can, that’s why your here.
‘nough of that. I have a really good book that’s nearly ready to put up for you which will spell out exactly what you need to be thinking about to get good page position in Google. I have a video training series being created for you by an expert marketer but he makes it all so easy to do. He says that most people cause themselves problems by trying to be too clever and by over thinking their actions.
One thing I should point out early, most of this material is created by either myself or people who do a lot of internet marketing but are not necessarily aiming their marketing at people like you. They are often aiming at the group of people who sell products as affiliates but the concepts discussed are the same regardless of the product or ownership so don’t let that put you off.
I have also almost completed the linking tool mentioned some time ago. If you remember I stopped development on that tool because I thought that I had found an online tool which would do the job. That turned out to be less than useful as did another site with similar aims.
The tool is complete and working but i need to do more testing and I would like some of you to let me know if you are interested in Beta testing this for me. Leave a comment or use the contact form and I’ll send you the download link. I only want 5 testers at this stage so get in quick if you want to test the LinkMaster tool.
A quick summary is in order. The LinkMaster tool helps you program your link building efforts and helps you make sure you do your link building in a manner which will maximise your impact in Google. It doesn’t build your links for you but it does keep track of where you have put links and when you need to do some more.
One last thing, I was recently reading a very interesting blog where Ash Maurya is documenting the development of a product and a website to sell that product. Now I’m not interested in the product as such but I am very interested in the process of development to sales, as you should be. Go here to read more about product and site development and to learn why split testing doesn’t always give you the information you need.
Keep reading folks, there’s a lot more coming.
